Paint the Sasquatch Rock!
Sasquatch Rock Reservation Rules
- Cost: $25/day, non-refundable. Select dates carefully.
- Location: Front rock by Sasquatch Joe, near front office.
- Booking: First-come, first-served. Once a date is taken, it’s gone.
- Limit: Max 2 days (consecutive or non-consecutive) per 30-day period. Violations result in cancellation.
- No Refunds: No refunds for missed reservations (scheduling conflicts, forgetfulness, weather, etc.). Add dates to your calendar.
- Inclement Weather: No weather-related refunds.
Painting Guidelines
- Timing: Paint after 4pm the day before your reserved date (e.g., Monday after 4pm for Tuesday). Monday reservations can be painted Friday after 4pm or over the weekend.
- Content: Must be child-appropriate, affirming, and in good taste. No profanity, obscenities, weapons, or discriminatory/religious/political statements/symbols.
- Paint Rules:
- Use only water-based latex or acrylic paint. No spray paint, puffy paint, glitter paint, oil-based paint, or chemicals.
- Paint only the front face and left side of the rock. Do not paint the top, right side, sidewalks, lamp posts, Sasquatch Joe, or buildings.
- Keep paint supplies on a drop cloth in the grassy area, off sidewalks.
- Dispose of paint cans off-campus; do not use campus trash bins.
- Damages to surrounding areas make the reserving party financially responsible for repairs.
- Recommended Supplies:
- Water-based latex paint (white or colored background).
- Acrylic paints for designs/lettering.
- Rough roller/large brush for background; small brushes/foam sponges for details.
- Chalk/charcoal pencil for planning.
- Plastic/canvas drop cloth.
- Gallon of water and small bucket (no water access on-site).
