Paint the Sasquatch Spirit Rock – March

PAINT THE SASQUATCH ROCK! All reservations are $25 per day Please select carefully, this reservation is for the FRONT rock next to Sasquatch Joe adjacent to the front office entrance. RESERVATIONS are processed on a first-come, first served basis. With 180 school days available and 1,500 students registered, if you are unable to paint the rock on schedule according to your reservation (due schedule conflict, forgetfulness, or weather), PTO does not refund reservations. So please MARK YOUR CALENDAR! INCLEMENT WEATHER: PTO does not offer weather refunds. DURATION LIMIT: Sasquatch Rocks can be reserved for a maximum of 2 days in 30-day period (in succession or not in succession). Anyone not abiding by this rule will have their reservation cancelled and their payment refunded. GUIDELINES *please note: painting should be done the afternoon/evening before the date you have reserved. Please see below for timing details. FRONT ROCK (Next to front office by Sasquatch Joe): You must start after 4pm the day before your reserved date(s). For example, if you reserve a rock for a Tuesday, you may start painting at 4pm on Monday afternoon. Rock reservations for Monday can be painted the previous Friday after 4pm or over the weekend. CONTENT: What is painted on a Sasquatch Rock MUST be in good taste and MAY NOT contain any foul language, or discriminatory, religious, and/or political statements/symbols. Profanity and obscenities, weapons are not permitted. Character Counts here in our County. All messages should be affirming and child appropriate! The rocks run on the honor system, with the hope that everyone will respect these guidelines. RULES: • NO SPRAY PAINT IS ALLOWED ON CAMPUS PER ADMINISTRATION • Use only "standard" latex or water-based acrylic paint • NO puffy paint, no glitter paints, no chemicals, and no oil-based paints • Used paint cans are not to be placed in campus trash bins/dumpsters. Please dispose of paint cans properly off campus. • ONLY the rock can be painted. Painting on sidewalks, lamp posts, Sasquatch Joe or buildings is prohibited. • Any damage or destruction to the surrounding areas or buildings will deem the family, group or organization financially responsible for cleaning and repair costs. • All paint supplies must stay in grassy area and off the sidewalk! • Do not paint top or right side of rocks only front face and left side RECOMMENDED SUPPLIES: • Any Water-based latex paint – White or Color Background • Acrylic paints for Design/Lettering • Rough Roller or Rough Large Brush for Background • Small Brushes or Foam Sponge Brushes for Design/Lettering • Small (1" or smaller) brushes or foam sponge brushes sponges for lettering/designs • Chalk or charcoal pencil to help plan drawing before painting • Plastic or canvas drop cloth to protect the landscape and curb • Gallon of Water & Small Bucket – NO WATER ACCESS on site to rinse brushes
